Monday -- Can you believe it's already November?

Hi Gang!

After a wonderful weekend at the 5K Chomp and Stomp (yummy chili and a great wake me up run in the morning) I returned to you looking forward to an AMAZING term ahead.  This week we are wrapping up Term 1 reports that will be sent out next week.  We are continuing to work on the theory of continental drift with the 6ers and going strong with our Biome units in 7th grade.  A few things to look ahead to:  7th graders will transition to negative numbers and 6th graders will begin working on fractions decimals and percents! WOOHOO!

Today we did the following:

Here is your homework for the week!!!
COW for both 6th and 7th grade

6ers:
1. Did an excellent spark where we reviewed histograms and making intervals!
2. We became experts in our category of evidence for the Theory Of Continental Drift.  Tomorrow we are going to continue working on our posters so you can teach the class about your area of expertise.

7ers:
1. Experiment for trophic levels, the loss of water shows that as you go up in trophic levels, energy is lost!
2. Passed out the COW
3. Practice with algebraic expressions!

Tomorrow we are going to delve into the wonderful world of food webs!
