Hi My darling 6ers and 7ers!
So sorry it's been awhile since my last post...here is a rundown of what's happened since last week and with an added bonus a GMAT question.
Monday
6ers:
1. Passed out the new COW, we finished our presentations for Alfred Wegener's theory of continental drift, and did a wonderful binder cleanout
7ers
1. Binder cleanout, We passed out the COW and spent the day introducing ourselves to negative numbers using the tape and number line!
Tuesday
6ers:
1. 30 minutes in the computer lab, and we began writing our paragraphs on the 4 pieces of evidence for The theory of Continental Drift
7ers
1. 40 minutes in the computer lab and more practice with negative numbers ( a worksheet and using the number line)
Wednesday
6ers
1. 6ers we spent the period getting our surveys ready and finalizing our paragraphs for the children's book! REMEMBER YOUR paragraphs are due tomorrow!
7ers
1. PREDATOR PREY activity! What a wonderful morning, we increased our heart rate and tried catching our classmates in an intense game simulating a predator prey situation. Tomorrow we'll reconvene and analyze our data and compare it to the classic example of the lynx and hare scenario.
Thanksgiving break is around the corner and we have the following projects among us:
1. Biome projects for 7ers - Rubric to be given out on Friday
2. Wegener project and Graphing unit project in progress
Both classes will have each due on the day before thanksgiving break!!!!
