What is viscous you ask!? Viscous is a measure of a liquids resistance to flow. In today's lab we worked with
1. corn syrup
2. molasses
3. water
4.vegetable oil
5. liquid soap
6. shampoo
We observed each of these liquids to determine their viscosity and ranked them on a scale of 1-6. However, I stated that as the CEO of Johnson and Johnson I needed more concrete evidence informing me which liquids were more or less viscous! You decided a race of sorts would be the answer.
Next, we timed the flow of each liquid and filled in a data table. Tomorrow we are going to continue this discussion by categorizing these different types of data and analyzing how each can be used in MST and beyond.
